Guided endodontics is a technique that uses detailed 3D imaging to plan the exact path to a root canal before treatment starts. It's particularly valuable for calcified canals - canals that have narrowed or closed over time and become extremely difficult to locate by conventional means.
By planning the access in advance and using a custom-made guide, the canal can be reached along a precise, pre-determined path - protecting healthy tooth structure and making treatment possible in cases that might otherwise have been considered untreatable.
